Volunteer Transcriber

RSVP is partnering with the Initiative for Rural Innovation & Stewardship (IRIS) to recruit volunteers who are interested in participating in the “Gathering our Voice” program to help gather and share stories from our past that can be used to help shape our future. Volunteers will help transcribe audio recordings to written text. Combined with the audio recording, the written text will become a valuable archive of the history of our region.

Requirements: Access to a computer with speakers or headphones, patience and attention to detail, a desire to contribute to a community project, and an interest in learning.

Adult Respite Opportunities

For many, the challenges of caring for an elderly, chronically ill, or disabled family member are a part of daily life. Caregiving is a demanding job and no one is equipped to do it alone. Respite care provides short-term breaks that can relieve stress, restore energy, and promote balance in the caregivers life. Volunteers with Wenatchee Adult Respite help provide planned activities during the day, Monday through Thursday, to provide a break for family caregivers.

Please contact us if you’re interested in this volunteer opportunity.
